The service

WhoSanta lets a host set up a gift exchange, invite people, draw names, and let each Santa see their giftee’s wishlist and chat with them anonymously. The core service is free. Optional paid features are described below. WhoSanta is operated by an individual proprietor based in the Philippines (“we”).

Accounts and guests

Hosts sign in with an email address and are responsible for the exchanges they create and for inviting only people who want to take part. Guests join with a name and may add an email later to keep their history. You must give accurate information and keep your sign-in to yourself.

Hosts and co-hosts

The host owns the exchange. A host may remove members, change rules, redraw before the exchange date, and delete the exchange. On the Team tier a host may name co-hosts, who can manage the exchange but cannot buy, add co-hosts, or delete it. Hosts are responsible for what co-hosts do.

The secret

The draw is confidential by design. You agree not to try to discover who drew whom through the app, its data, or any other means, and not to share a match that is not yours. Our systems are built so that we cannot show it to you either.

Paid features

• Host Pro is a one-time seasonal pass for a host. It covers every exchange you host through 31 January, with a minimum of 90 days, and does not renew.
• Team is a one-time purchase for a single exchange, in bands by group size. Band limits apply to bulk invitations; nothing else is blocked above a band.
• Prices are shown in your local currency where available and include tax where the law requires. Features may roll out through the season; a pass covers them as they arrive.

Payments and refunds

Payments are processed by Polar, our merchant of record. Polar issues the receipt and handles card details and tax; the charge on your statement will show Polar. You may request a full refund within 14 days of purchase by emailing contact@whosanta.com from the address on your account. Polar may also issue refunds under its own buyer terms. Refunded passes and bands are switched off.

Acceptable use

• No harassment, hate, or threats in names, wishlists, notes, or messages.
• No links to anything illegal or deceptive, and no attempts to earn commission through your own wishlist links.
• No scraping, probing, or interfering with the service or other people’s exchanges.
• We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.

Wishlist links, partners and affiliates

Wishlist links lead to third-party stores we do not control. Some are affiliate links, and we may earn a commission on purchases. Gift suggestions that appear in the app may come from partners who pay us a flat fee. Any purchase is between you and the store.

Notifications

By taking part in an exchange you agree to receive emails about it: the draw, messages, reminders, and invitations. Hosts on the Team tier may connect a Slack or Microsoft Teams channel; what we post there is limited to short notices and never a match.

What we do not promise

WhoSanta is provided as is. We work hard to keep it up through December, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service, that every email or notification arrives, or that a gift turns up. To the extent the law allows, our liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the past twelve months.

Ending things

You may stop using WhoSanta at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or end access for breaches of these terms. Paid features end with the account unless a refund is due under the section above.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Questions go to contact@whosanta.com. If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will update the date at the top; continuing to use the service means you accept the change.
