About WhoSanta
A small tool for drawing names and keeping them secret, made in the Philippines.

What it is
WhoSanta runs gift exchanges. A host sets up an exchange, people join with a code or a link, the host draws names, and each person learns one thing only: who they are buying for. Wishlists, anonymous messages to your giftee, and rules such as “couples don’t draw each other” sit around that core.
The one rule under everything is that a giftee never learns who their Santa is. Not on screen, not in an email, not in an export, and not from the host. The database enforces it, not the interface, which is why we can promise it. The privacy page spells it out.
Who makes it
WhoSanta is built and run by Zedfeld Busiños, a product designer based in the Philippines, as a one-person project. There is no company behind it and no investor.
Write to contact@whosanta.com for anything. Replies come from the same person who wrote the code.
How it is paid for
Hosting an exchange is free and stays free. Two paid things exist. Host Pro is a seasonal pass for a host who wants extras such as unlimited exclusion rules, themes and reminders. The Team plan covers every exchange a company runs for a year, with co-hosts, departments and a company link, bought once by the company. Payments go through Polar, which issues the receipt and handles tax.
The guides and FAQ carry a small amount of advertising. App screens never do. Some wishlist links are affiliate links, which cost the buyer nothing.
Where things live
The site runs on Vercel. The database and sign-in run on Supabase. Email goes out through Resend from contact@whosanta.com. The code is TypeScript and the design is pixel Christmas on purpose. Most changes land in the months before December, when people are setting exchanges up.
